Budget

Does the title make you want to shudder?
Who likes that 6 letter word?

Weirdos like me, that's who.

It's stressful trying to stick to a budget (a small one in particular), but I think it also makes the whole wedding planning process a little more fun.
What fun is it if you have thousands upon thousands of dollars at your disposal for your wedding? It leaves no room for creativity.

I'm really excited about a couple of DIY products I have up my sleeve and definitely can't wait to see it all come together on the big day. Which by the way is sneaking up on me faster than I expected. It's already less than 5 months away now! Eek!

Everything continues to grow bigger. We had originally planned for a very small intimate affair, but as our plans and ideas have grown and changed, we've realized that it's not going to be quite as small as the event we originally had in mind. Despite this, I will try my damndest to keep it intimate, fun and laidback to reflect our personalities.
Well I'm rambling now. Off to bed I go. But first I'll peak in on my sleeping angel. 5 bucks says he's laying on his tummy with his little tush pushed up in the air. Ahh, so precious. I think I'll sneak me a little kiss too. :) Good night!

dun dun da dun

I've been a little M.I.A as of late. Sorry bout that.

Well Frank and I are finally planning our wedding and boy is it time consuming.

Yep, if you are a reader that doesn't know me in real life you are probably just learning that I have been living in sin. Yep first came love, then came the baby in the baby carriage, and now comes marriage.

Weddings always take a lot planning and come with their fair share of stress, but when you decide to plan a wedding in less than 6 months, that stress is a little bit amplified.
And when you get engaged and plan for a wedding date less than 6 months out, on a serious budget and plan to stray from tradition ("OMG you want cupcakes instead of a wedding cake?!?") you get a lot of mixed reactions, some less than stellar. And if you're like me your over sensitive and you take every piece of criticism or funny "look" to heart and it annoys the shit out of you.

So this is my less than punchy come back post after a 3 week hiatus. Yay! We're getting married. Agh! We're planning a wedding, and I'm stressed.

P.S. Just keepin it real people, save your "It's supposed to be fun, not stressful" comments for another day...or another bride. d :
